The Issaquah Schools Foundation is hosting two events in May to raise money for local schools.

The foundation’s Nourish Every Mind lunch and breakfast events will feature inspirational stories from students and staff members in the Issaquah School District about why community-based financial support is needed, in addition to education dollars the district gets from the state.

The 16th annual luncheon takes place from noon to 1 p.m. May 8 at the Issaquah Community Center, 301 Rainier Blvd. S. Jim Dever, host of “Evening Magazine” on KING-5, will be the guest emcee.

The foundation will also host a breakfast for the first time. The event is from 7-8:30 a.m. May 14 at Eastridge Church, 24205 S.E. Issaquah-Fall City Road. KOMO-4 news reporter Molly Shen will be the guest emcee.

Both events have a $150 minimum suggested donation price. Register online or call 391-8557.

Also on the foundation’s website, you’ll find an online auction. There are more than 150 items to place a bid upon. The auction closes at 8 p.m. May 6.
