Newcastle Police are looking for contact information for anyone who was fundraising door-to-door in the 12500 block of Southeast 70th on March 5, between 4:45-6:45 p.m.

They are not suspects in any crime, wrote Chief Melinda Irvine in a city e-alert, but they may be witnesses to an incident that occurred in the area.

If you live in that area and were contacted by anyone during the listed period, please contact Detective Christy Marsalisi at Christy.Marsalisi@kingcounty.gov or 206-263-9140.

Whenever you see suspicious activity in your neighborhood, do not hesitate to call 911 or the police non-emergency dispatch number, 206-296-3311, and have an officer respond to investigate. If possible, write down a license plate number if there is a vehicle and get a good description of those involved.

If you do not have the non-emergency dispatch number programmed into your cell phone, take a moment and do it now before you wish you had it handy; then carry your cell phone with you when you are out just in case you need it.
