It continues through Saturday with sales open to the public. The sale begins at 10 a.m. the three remaining days, but wraps up at 9 p.m. March 27, at 6 p.m. March 28 and at 5 p.m. March 29.

The funds raised from the book sale will allow the Friends group to sponsor programming at the Newcastle Library. The King County Library System offers a base level of programming for all of its locations, but anything on top of that must get funded locally.

The four-day sale takes place at the Newcastle Library, 12901 Newcastle Way. The Friends group is seeking volunteers to help with setup; email NewcastleLibraryFriends@comcast.net to get involved. Only cash or checks will be accepted at the event.

The Friends of the Newcastle Library gladly accept donations of gently used books throughout the year. Simply bring them to the library’s front desk. They also have an ongoing book sale where patrons can purchase materials for just $1 every day.

A few weeks ago I delivered 50, or so, books to the library to use in their book sale. Yesterday, April 4th I did the same again.
My point is, I have a few hundred books I’d like to donate to the book sale cause.
It’s an old library my former wife had. I am getting up in years and will not have time left in my life the read all these books.
If you are interested please contact me via this e-mail address or call me personally at 425-891-2680 after 10 am and before 4 PM, Monday, Wednesday -
    Friday.
Hopefully we can make some arrangement for pick-up or delivery.
    Thanks!!!!!
