Reminder: Election ballots due Nov. 5
November 4, 2013
NEW — 1:15 p.m. Nov. 4, 2013
The general election is Nov. 5. Mailed ballots require first class postage and must be postmarked by Nov. 5. Voters can return their ballots without a stamp at a 24-hour drop box.
Newcastle’s closest drop box is in Renton, at the King County Elections building, 919 S.W. Grady Way. The box closes at 8 p.m. on election day. View a list of other drop boxes here.
Follow the directions on the ballot envelope for quick accounting. Place the ballot in the security envelope, seal all envelopes and sign the outer envelope, before depositing it in the drop box.

A handful of Newcastle residents reported they did not receive the correct voter’s pamphlets, or failed to receive one at all.
King County has four different editions of voter pamphlets. Each one is tailored to an area’s local measures and offices. Newcastle residents should receive edition two of the pamphlet.
Most Newcastle residents appear to have received the correct one, but for those that didn’t, or didn’t get one at all, the voter pamphlet can be found online at http://1.usa.gov/16LndN1. Voters can also pick one up at local libraries.
