Edit: Unfortunately, it looks like the Community Faire has been postponed due to weather. Follow the Newport Hills Community Club on Facebook for the latest event updates.

The Newport Hills community will host its second Community Faire from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 21.

“A lot of Park in the Parking Lot,” is the theme of this year’s event and will be held at the Stods Baseball parking lot, 5629 119th Ave. S.E.

More than 30 handmade craft vendors will sell their goods at the event. There will also be food, kid-friendly activities and live music.

Students from the Cornerstone Dance Studio will perform, and the Newport High School robotics team will provide demonstrations.

The event will also include garden-centric activities, providing a nod to Newport Hills’ orchard history with an apple cider press, apple bobbing and more.

Thank you so much for helping the Newport Hills Community Club promote our Community Faire. I wish the weather would have cooperated. This postponement is such a disappointment after so many hours of hard work but we are looking to re-schedule indoors in November. We’ll keep you posted.
