Discussion continues on 2013 preliminary budget with public hearings tonight

The Newcastle City Council will host public hearings about the 2013 preliminary budget and a proposed Transportation Improvement Plan at its regular council meeting Nov. 6.

At the meeting, the City Council will discuss revenue sources for the upcoming budget, including consideration of possible increases in property tax revenues.

The agenda for tonight’s meeting can be found here and the city has posted a copy of the 2013 preliminary budget on its website here.

Citizens that are unable to attend the public hearing can submit their comments to the city clerk at cityclerk@ci.newcastle.wa.us, before 4 p.m. on Nov. 6.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. Nov. 6 in the City Council Chambers in City Hall.
