Construction crews will blast rock near Regency Newcastle

NEW — 11:45 a.m. Oct. 3, 2012
Workers will begin blasting rock at a development site located at Southeast 81st Place, between 141st Avenue Southeast and Southeast 83rd Street near Regency Newcastle on Oct. 4 and Oct. 5.
Approximate blasting times are at 10 a.m., 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. The blast will only last a second.
Prior to the blast, residents will hear a warning signal from an air horn. There will be a 5-minute warning signal, a 1-minute warning signal and then the blast. After the blast, there will be a final all-clear signal.
The blasting is a part of the construction of the Newcastle Vista II plat.
Local residents have been notified and all necessary permits have been obtained for the blasting.
