Newcastle resident selected for Purdue academic honor society

Stephanie Kuch, a 2008 graduate of Eastside Catholic High School and a Newcastle resident, has been selected to Phi Beta Kappa at Purdue University.

Founded in 1776, the academic honor society is the oldest honor society for the liberal arts and sciences, and is among the oldest undergraduate societies in the United States.

Kuch is a member of the Alpha Xi Delta sorority and expects to graduate with a bachelor’s degree in classical studies this year. She has made the dean’s list seven consecutive semesters at the university.
