Encompass, an independent and non-profit children’s and family-services organization established in 1966 with a mission to nurture children, enrich families and inspire community, is looking for volunteers for two spring fundraisers, including one in Newcastle.

The organization’s “Dream with Me” Spring Gala  will be held April 21 at The Golf Club at Newcastle and its SipFest fundraiser will be held May 18 at the Pickering Barn in Issaquah.

The tasks are varied:

  •   For the “Dream with Me” Spring Gala, a wine-tasting and auction dinner event, volunteers will check-in guests, check-out bidders, serve as a live-auction runner or spotter, monitor silent-auction bids and help with item pick-up, assist with set-up and wine sales.
  •   For SipFest, a tasting event involving 20 wineries, 10 breweries and 10 restaurants, volunteers will sell raffle tickets, greet guests, take tickets, assist with set-up, tear-down and wine sales.

Volunteers must be 21 or older. All abilities, group projects and community-service and college-service volunteers are welcome.

All proceeds from these events support Encompass, a children and family services organization for Snoqualmie Valley, Issaquah, Sammamish and the greater Eastside.

Contact Michelle McCormick, Encompass volunteer coordinator, at 888-2777, ext. 1212, or michelle.mccormick@encompassnw.org to sign up as a volunteer.
