A man was shot in the leg at about 2 a.m. April 23 at Castle Creek Apartments, 7000 132nd Place Southeast, after asking a group of people making noise in the parking lot to be quiet, according to the King County Sheriff’s Office.

The man who was shot — who is in his 40s — suffered only minor injuries and was transported to Overlake Hospital Medical Center in Bellevue.

Two Newcastle Police officers were on duty at the time and heard the shots. One responded to the apartment complex, and the other followed a group of cars speeding away from the scene. The officer stopped the vehicles and — with the help of witnesses — arrested the alleged shooter, a Seattle man in his late 20s.

The gun used was a .40-caliber semiautomatic pistol.
