Home burglary

A man reported that his house, in the 8000 block of Coal Creek Parkway Southeast, had been broken into between June 3 and Aug. 3. When he visited the house, the front and back doors had been forced in and a guitar amplifier, a stereo/record player, microwave and miscellaneous tools had been stolen.

Car prowls

A woman reported that her 1993 Honda Civic had been broken into at The Approach Condominiums, 6800 132nd Place S.E., between noon July 4 and noon July 5. Reported stolen was a stereo faceplate worth $200. The woman reported the crime Aug. 5.

A woman reported that her 2005 Honda Civic had been broken into at The Approach Condominiums between 2 p.m. Aug. 4 and 9 a.m. Aug. 5. Reported stolen were $150 worth of CDs, a grocery tote worth $1, a makeup bag worth $150, two pairs of sunglasses worth $250 and $300, respectively, and a parking pass.

A woman reported that her 2002 Toyota 4-Runner was broken into at the Red Town Trailhead, 15500 Newcastle Golf Club Road, between 6:40 and 7:30 p.m. Aug. 5. The rear driver’s side door window was smashed, resulting in $232 in damage. Reported stolen were Kate Spade eye glasses worth $350, a Latico purse worth $250, Kaenon sunglasses worth $250, a Latico wallet worth $50 and $300 in cash.

Thief looks to remodel on the cheap

A woman reported that a new home in the 15000 of Southeast 80th Street had been broken into between 4:30 p.m. Aug. 1 and 8:30 a.m. Aug. 5. Reported stolen were three Toto toilets, two installed thermostats, an installed shower fixture, a utility sink faucet and two installed bathroom light fixtures, all worth about $5,000. Two other installed toilets and numerous light fixtures were left untouched. Police found pry marks on the second-floor balcony’s doorframe, meaning the suspect either used a ladder to get inside or shimmied up the rock pillar that supports the balcony.
