IN THE SPOTLIGHT: Chocolate for charity
March 4, 2010
By Staff

Many Lights Foundation, a nonprofit organization in Newcastle, hosts an intergenerational chocolate making event from 6-7:30 p.m. March 20 at Sweet Decadence. Many Lights will cover the fees for the event for children, and is asking seniors and parents to make a donation if possible. Chocolate-making participants must make a reservation due to limited space. The purpose is to bring together seniors, foster or adoptive parents, and children between the ages of 9 and 13 who are in kinship and foster care, for a fun activity that promotes communication and positive relationships and to introduce them to people they might not otherwise meet. R.S.V.P. to Helen Lakeru at 246-2647 or helen@manylights.org.
